Green is the color of nature and connotes health, freshness, fertility and serenity.

Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety.

Dark green is commonly associated with money but is also associated with ambition, greed and jealousy. Yellow-green is associated with cowardice, discord and jealousy. Aqua is associated with emotional healing and protection while Olive green Is the traditional colour of peace so choose very carefully what you want to portray before choosing green as your colour.

Green is the most restful colour for the human eye, it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance although sometimes it denotes lack of experience but indicates growth and hope.

I would always use green to indicate safety when advertising drugs and medical products. Green is directly related to nature, so you can use it to promote ‘green’ products.

Use several shades of green for a fresh springtime feel.

Using Green with Other Colors

Green with blue produces echoes of nature – water and forest and can denote new beginnings and growth.

Green with brown, tan, or beige says organic or recycled and can be a good colour combination for packaging of those type of products.
Tri-color combinations of green with yellow and black or white are sporty, outdoorsy colours. Purple with green can be high contrast, lively.

Lime green with orange and yellow is a fresh and fruity palette.

Be careful how you use green but used in the right way it will bring you good luck.

  1. Every time I read these blogs about the meaning of colour I find I’m envisaging companies’ logos and agreeing with your view of what they’re trying to say about themselves.
